It wasn’t a nightmare; it was tragic Mexico knocking on your digital door.
That image that circulated, with the word “muer3n” censored so the algorithm wouldn’t get all worked up, was a harbinger that Death had gone hunting this morning. And that damned “See more”… oh, that “See more”! It was the gateway to a Dantean scene that not even the worst horror movies could imagine.
We, the crime reporters, who don’t shy away from the truth and go right into the thick of the story even if it reeks of gasoline and death, plunged into the exact heart of the tragedy. And hold on tight, folks, because what we saw there is unforgettable.
THE PROTAGONISTS: A GRANDFATHER’S LOVE THAT ENDED IN HEAVEN
To understand the magnitude of this blow to the heart, we must name the victims. They weren’t statistics, they were family!
It was Don Rogelio, a gentleman of 68, one of those with a thick mustache and hardworking hands, already retired, who lived to pamper his family. THE SCENE OF HORROR: A DEATH TRAP IN THE DARKNESS

THERE WAS NO TIME FOR ANYTHING, PEOPLE! Don Rogelio didn’t even have time to hit the brakes. The Tsuru crashed head-on, hard, brutally into the animal.
The crash was so loud it could be heard for miles. It was the sound of twisting metal, glass shattering into a thousand pieces, and the dull, terrible thud against the animal’s bulk.
The horse, thrown by the force of the impact, landed on the roof and windshield. The car was reduced to a smoking, twisted metal accordion in a matter of seconds.
