We have become accustomed to seeing entertainers and a level of talent that continues to come away from
the talent shows and online. Sometimes we may take it for granted but on occasion, somebody steps up and
really takes things beyond what we have seen.
That is something that happened on Britain’s Got Talent in 2003, when Susan Boyle stepped out on the stage.
The Scottish singer, who was famous thanks to BGT back in 2009 had come back to the show to perform once again.
She was standingwith the West End cast and sang a rendition of Les Misérables and it was absolutely
beautiful. Her performance was spot on and the 62-year-old singer thrilled the crowd.
There was also a bit of a shocking announcement that came and nobody was expecting it. The singer told the
host that she was trying her best to regain her voice after suffering from a stroke the year before.
One person commented: “The most memorable moment of the final seeing Susan Boyle performing again. I
can still remember the looks on the judges faces when she came on back in 2009 and the surprised/stu nned
look when she sang. Good to see her back and wishing you a healthy return afteryour stroke..”
According to some Susan Boyle went through voice coaching after she the stroke. She
had to work hard but she was able to regain her speech for the most part.
She ended up with some muscle weakness, slurred speech, and a dropped face on one side. Despite those
challenges, her determination and hard work paid off.
