Snoop Dogg had to fight for The Voice Top 5 hopeful Jeremy Beloate. The Memphis artist chose Michael Bublé’s team after a four-chair Blind Audition performance of Giveon’s “Heartbreak Anniversary” left all four coaches scrambling to win him over. Snoop made his move after Bublé eliminated Beloate in favor of Sofronio Vasquez during the three-way Knockouts, swooping in and stealing him. Ever since, viewers have thoroughly enjoyed watching the bond develop between artist and coach. That camaraderie was on fully display during Tuesday’s (Dec. 10) live finale, as Snoop and Beloate shared the stage for a dynamic duet of a soulful Otis Redding classic.

Alongside coach Snoop Dogg, Jeremy Beloate gave yet another show-stopping performance—this time of Otis Redding’s 1967 hit “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.”
As Beloate has demonstrated throughout his stunning run on The Voice, there isn’t much he can’t do, vocally speaking. He has delivered soaring performances of Tom Jones’ “I (Who Have Nothing”) and a Broadway-ready rendition of Josh Groban’s “The Impossible Dream.”
Viewers saw the “Gin and Juice” rapper reduced to tears following Beloate’s Monday (Dec. 9) performance of Jackie DeShannon’s “What the World Now Is Love.”
“Music is not always about how it sounds. It’s about how it makes you feel,” Snoop told his artist.
Beloate, he said, brings “that feeling out of me.”
Jeremy Beloate’s Semifinal Performance Catches Tom Jones’ Attention
The Voice season 26 coaches raved over Jeremy Beloate’s semifinal performance of “I (Who Have Nothing.)”
“What we doin’, America? You got me on here crying and things, you know what I’m saying?” an emotional Snoop Dogg said. “Pick up your phone, push the numbers, vote for Jeremy.”
Beloate’s powerhouse performance also caught the attention of Sir Tom Jones, who scored a Top 20 hit when he recorded the Italian-language song in 1970. Jones, a coach on The Voice’s UK series, uploaded a video of his reaction to social media.
Praising Beloate’s “wonderful voice” and ability to express himself through song, the “She’s a Lady” singer said, “If you had been on The Voice U.K. I would have turned for you myself.”
In an interview with Parade, Beloate called the feedback “unreal.”
